It is an ‘upside down’ house with living space
upstairs and sleeping space downstairs. This allows for some
spectacular views across the Mendips and Somerset Levels from the
full length windows on the top floor. There is a balcony off of
the lounge which is the best place to watch the Glastonbury sunset
from.
The lounge has a vaulted ceiling with stunning
oak beams and a wood burner. Firewood for the wood burner can be
purchased from our on site farm shop.
The large kitchen is fully fitted with
dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and
electric oven. There is a large farm table inside the kitchen to
dine at.
Downstairs at the back of the house there is a
double bedroom with en suite shower room. There is a large family
bathroom with shower enclosure and separate bathtub. The second
bedroom is a twin which has its own separate entrance from outside.
The cottage is heated with gas central heating.
Meadow Barn is the first cottage in our complex
and faces away from our other cottages. The entrance is on our main
driveway so it is one of the easier ones for access.
New for 2013 there is now the option to extend Meadow Barn into the
Annex to create a large 3 bedroom (2 doubles and one twin) unit. The 2 cottages
will need to be
booked individually, and you will need to let us know you want them
to be connected. They will provide a wonderfully large house for 2
families or a larger group of friends. With sofabeds in the lounges
of both cottages this allows for a total occupancy of 6(+4)
Firewood for the wood-burning stove may be purchased on-site.
