About us...

Middlewick Holiday Cottages is a complex of 11 holiday cottages based at the foot of the Glastonbury Tor.  Owners Jill and Jonathan Barker, the founders of the ethical children’s brand Green Baby, are lovingly maintaining the property while making improvements along the way.  The most exciting improvements will be the ‘green’ modifications that can be made to carry on the environmental legacy Jill created when she formed Green Baby in 1999.
    
The Barkers fell in love with the spot, surrounded by acres of organic farms, as soon as they found it.  The original green baby, their son Thomas who is now 13, is also a part of the team.  He is in charge of finding the fun in the 17 acres of pastures and gardens that surround the property.

Middlewick Farm was transformed into holiday cottages over 20 years ago and the Barkers are only the 4th owners to take the reins of the property.  Previous owners Judith Bisiker and her mother Wendy have moved back home to Canada. Spookily their new home is 30 minutes away from where Jill hails from, in Ontario. 

Denise runs the office. Shelagh heads up the housekeeping and Leyah looks after the horses and other animals.

Maggie is the new resident blonde Labradoodle and very happy to have company.  It is for this reason we are now opening up Middlewick to well behaved (and deflead) dogs in some of our more dog friendly cottages.  If you are interested in bringing along a four legged guest, please give us a call and we will see whether we can accommodate you.
