It backs onto the original kitchen garden so it most probably would have been a food store or workshop. Entrance via a stable door from the main courtyard leads you into a bright kitchen with stunning views over the Mendips, Wells and its surrounds. A newly renovated kitchen contains all you should require for your stay. The kitchen sits in the middle of the cottage. A small lounge sits directly off of the kitchen. Within the lounge are a comfy sofa and chair. On the wall there is a mounted real fire effect electric heater to enjoy. On the other side of the kitchen is a corridor leading to a newly renovated bathroom. Toilet and sink are Laufen and there is a shower enclosure with electric shower. Next to the bathroom is the bedroom which has been decorated with local made Somerset Pine furniture. In the bedroom and the lounge there are cute little round windows that are unusual to this age of property. The heating in Appletree is a combination of electric night storage heaters and electric heaters that run on timers. Appletree is one of our ‘by the night’ cottages which means it can be rented for a single night or a week throughout most of the year.
