Meadow Barn is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom converted barn, 4 person holiday cottage. The barn dates from the 18th Century and many of its original features have been kept. Meadow Barn can be connected to the Annex holiday cottage if a larger property is required. Please see details at the bottom of this page.
It is an ‘upside down’ house with living space upstairs and sleeping space downstairs. This allows for some spectacular views across the Mendips and Somerset Levels from the full length windows on the top floor. There is a balcony off of the lounge which is the best place to watch the Glastonbury sunset from.
The lounge has a vaulted ceiling with stunning oak beams and a wood burner. Firewood for the wood burner can be purchased from our on site farm shop.
The large kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. There is a large farm table inside the kitchen to dine at.
Downstairs at the back of the house there is a double bedroom with en suite shower room. There is a large family bathroom with shower enclosure and separate bathtub. The second bedroom is a twin which has its own separate entrance from outside.
The cottage is heated with gas central heating. The entrance is on our main driveway so it is one of the easier ones for access.
There is the option to extend Meadow Barn into the Annex to create a large 3 bedroom (2 doubles and one twin) unit. The 2 cottages will need to be booked individually, and you will need to let us know 7 days in advance of arrival that you want them to be connected. They will provide a wonderfully large house for 2 families or a larger group of friends. With sofa beds in the lounges of both cottages this allows for a total occupancy of 6(+4) (extra charges apply for additional occupants)
