Dog friendly cottages...

Since we made Middlewick dog friendly we have had lots of 4 legged visitors come to stay. Kindly, they also brought their owners and the rest of their family, and so far so good - everyone has had a good time at Middlewick. We do make a small one off charge if you bring your dog (to cover extra cleaning requirements), and refundable £50 deposit is required for bookings with dogs. Our current charge is £15 per dog for stays of 4 days or less and £25 per dog for longer stays. Please help us if you bring your dog by taking note of the points below:

• When booking please ensure you let us know if you are planning to bring your dog along. This will allow us to confirm that your cottage is dog friendly, and that there are no special reasons that prevent us from taking dogs during your stay.
  


• Please keep your dog on a lead and under control at all times. Not everyone feels comfortable in the company of our 4 legged friends even though we all love our dogs to bits! We have other animals at Middlewick (chickens, goats, pigs..) and we ask that you keep your dog under complete control in their vicinity.
  
  
• We reserve the right to restrict access to shared areas of any dogs causing disturbance or inconvenience to other guests or animals (whatever the reason).

• Dogs must be in good health and be up to date with immunizations, worming and flea treatments.
  
  
• Please do not leave dogs unattended inside or outside of cottages either during the day or at night.
  
  
• Please clear up any mess from your dog immediately.
  
  
• Subject to availability we can offer a dog sitting service.

There are lots of places to eat in Glastonbury with your dog, here are just a few.

Hundred Monkeys – Great café serving local food.  Good choice of vegetarian as well as meat options.  They also now do breakfast from 8am and are open until around 9pm. They also sell fantastic homemade bread and baked goods as well as takeaway drinks.

Who’d A Thought It – fantastic pub atmosphere with very  good food.  They do very good steaks and pies.  Open normal pub hours.

La Terre – great café for lunch or coffee and cakes in the afternoon.   They have music many evenings and it is a very relaxed atmosphere.

Blue Note Café – vegetarian restaurant with a patio at the rear where you can sit with your dog. 

Heaphys Café – café on the square with plenty of tables to sit outside with your dog. 

Lion Pub (West Pennard). Traditional Somerset pub with skittle alley, good food and a warm welcome.

Glastonbury Abbey – dogs are welcome to walk around the grounds on a lead. 

Glastonbury Tor – dogs are welcome on leads
