Retreats for Groups and Families at Middlewick

Middlewick Holiday Cottages provides a welcoming, secluded and peaceful setting for most any type of gathering.  Whether it’s grandmas 90th, a family reunion, wedding reception, a yoga workshop in the countryside or a contemplative retreat, Middlewick has the space and ambience to provide a positive and memorable experience.

11 self contained stone cottages comfortably accommodate up to 38 people and 10 more potential beds (fold out/ sofa bed) give added flexibility where required.

The Function room (with private deck facing away from the complex, catering kitchen, and toilet room) provides a clear open space for workshops/ classes, and/or a cozy communal space for sharing with friends and family. 

Also available to our guests:

Steam Room – seats 6 - free of charge – open from 8am to 7:30pm every day

Swimming pool - free of charge – open from 8am to 8pm every day

The Other Bits Relating to Group Bookings:

Sound travels very far in the lovely quiet on this side of the Tor, so we ask that noise levels be kept down when moving around the complex at night. If you have not booked the entire complex, please be considerate of our other guests.

 The facilities are only open to those actually staying here – and other than with prior agreement, an event in the function room may not be attended by others and the swimming pool is for use by registered guests only. Family and friends are of course welcome to visit our guests , but please let us know if they are on site.

At the end of the stay we ask that any crockery, cutlery, furniture etc that might have been moved while you have been staying at Middlewick is returned to it's original cottage/ position. Both our staff and the guests following you at Middlewick will appreciate this.

  

What We Provide:

·       Cottages - please refer to the cottage inventory on our website.

·       Communal toilets – toilet paper, hand soap and hand towel.

·       Pool shower room – shower gel.

·       Function room - 2 couches; 2 lounge chairs; Television/DVD player; 40 chairs; 6 fold out tables + tablecloths; wood burner.

Function Room Kitchen

·       2 x toasters; 2 x kettles; 1 microwave; Tea pots; cafetieres ; Water Jugs; Milk Jugs; Toast racks; Place mats; salad bowls

·       Crockery and cutlery for 40 people (dinner plates; plates; soup/pudding bowls; high ball glasses; tumblers; champagne glasses, wine glasses, mugs.

·       General utensils, for e.g. can opener, bottle opener, paring knives, potato masher, etc.

 

To Be Provided By Group Leaders/ Organisers

(We provide ‘starter’ quantities, but of course we can organise more if you wish us to help further)
