Bramley is a charming 1 bedroom cottage set over 2 floors. It was once part of the original 350 year old farmhouse and many original features still remain. It has stunning wooden beams and a stone fireplace that is rumoured to have been made from stone taken from the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey in the 16th century.
The front door is a stable door that leads into a well equipped kitchen/diner. The large lounge runs off of the kitchen and there is a comfy chair and sofa to sit on. The fire is an electric effect stove in the large original fireplace. The sofa can convert into a small double sofa bed for a single adult or 2 small children sharing as needed.
The lounge faces the communal gardens and allows for great viewing of the resident farm animals. There is a lockable back door which can link Bramley with Blenheim cottages making them perfect to share with friends and family whilst retaining total privacy otherwise.
Upstairs you will find a newly renovated bathroom with Laufen sanitary wear. There is a bathtub with an electric shower within. In the bedroom you will find the fruits of Jill’s treasure hunting at vintage shops. Shabby chic curtains, bed and furniture give Bramley a truly old English cottage feel. The bedroom is one of our largest and there is plenty of room for a travel cot or toddler bed in it as well.
Bramley has full central heating from our Bio-Mass boilers. Not surprising our older cottages are the warmest in the winter and the coolest in the summer. Thick external walls do keep the weather outside.
All our cottages are self-catering but we do have a farm shop on site with lots of breakfast choices to purchase on your arrival. Here at Middlewick Farm we produce our own bacon, sausages and eggs. We also sell an amazing selection of breakfast cereals, with our locally produced muesli being extremely popular.
Bramley and Blenheim can be interlinked via a door in the rear hall which leads to the garden – making them perfect for those wishing to be together whilst maintaining the privacy option.
All guests are able to take advantage of our wonderful gardens and fields and our amazing 360°views looking both up to Glastonbury Tor and over the Somerset Levels towards Wells. Our heated indoor swimming pool is open daily.
