Historically Orchard View would have afforded great views of the acres of apple orchards that surrounded Middlewick Farm. The landscape has changed over the decades but this cottage still has great views all the way up to Glastonbury Tor.
This 2 bedroom cottage holiday cottage is all on one level so is ideal for those who do not like stairs. The main entrance is off of the courtyard and close to the swimming pool, and library room where we have an extensive collection of books, games and DVD’s to borrow.
There is a small porch which leads into a newly renovated kitchen. Although small it is well equipped with a dishwasher, cooker, hob, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave oven. If needed a washing machine and dryer are available for use in our communal laundry room.
The dining room is next to the kitchen with French doors leading onto the communal gardens. The lounge is part of the same room and has beautiful old oak beams on the ceiling. There are windows on either side of the room making it light and airy.
On the other side of the kitchen is a family bathroom which has wash basin, toilet and shower. The double bedroom is next along the hall and has a large window with view of Glastonbury Tor.
Further along the hall is the twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room which has a hand basin, toilet and shower. This room also has a large window with views up to Glastonbury Tor and over the Middlewick property.
Orchard View has full central heating from our Bio-Mass boilers. Not surprising our older cottages are the warmest in the winter and the coolest in the summer. Thick external walls do keep the weather outside.
All guests are able to take advantage of our wonderful gardens and fields and our amazing 360°views looking both up to Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels towards Wells. Our heated indoor pool is open daily.
