Your Special Event
Covid19 Update Mar 2021. Please note that in 2021 we are not taking bookings for large groups so as to avoid any problems with either accommodation being shared or groups being able to socialise. Bookings will be restricted to 3-4 Individual cottages maximum and/ or 6-15 people. Bookings for each property will need to be make in different names and will be treated as separate bookings to avoid all the properties being cancelled at the same time. We apologise in advance for this change in policy.
Our Function Room has been repurposed to be our Spa lounge and reception and is not available in 2021 for hire. It is also being used as a lounge for the numerous retreats we run and host for others. Our Day Spa guests will be able to enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in here.
Middlewick is an ideal venue for most types of gatherings. With its varied assortment of accommodation plus extensive grounds and gardens there is the space and ambience to provide a wonderful experience.
Over the last few years the range of events we have hosted at Middlewick has grown, both in number and variety but to give you an idea we list some below:

No two events are the same. Durations range from 2 day sales meetings and conferences, to 3 day anniversary and wedding gatherings through to 7 day health and well being retreats.
Depending on your event and requirements we can help both before, in the organising, and during, with catering and additional help as needed.
Your Own Little Village
We can sleep up to 50 people across our (15) cottages and glamping options assuming all bedrooms are fully occupied; Triple, Double, Twins and Singles. If, however, your profile needs each bedroom to have single occupancy then we can accommodate 25 people. In between there many configurations that normally can be worked out to your needs.
Our Function Room allows your group to congregate centrally and for them to be catered for as necessary.
In the Summer months we can cater for larger numbers with luxury tents and toilet blocks in our fields.

Cottages, Cabins & Glamping
Middlewick has 10 stone cottages, 2 log cabins and 3 Glamping E-dens can comfortably accommodate up to 50 people. We also have the flexibility to accommodate more people should the event require it during the summer months with luxury tents and toilet blocks in our fields.
Our cottages, cabins and glamping options are all different but share the same attention to detail. They are sensitively restored, carefully furnished and many feature original artworks. Look on the accommodation more as hotel suites than just rooms. All accommodation features luxury cotton bedding and soft white fluffy towels.

If you are bringing a group to stay at Middlewick you will probably want to rent our Function Room as well . It is a versatile and comfortable facility which has many windows overlooking the countryside. It backs on to our paddocks and from the outside deck area has a view up to Glastonbury Tor.
Our guests use it for a variety of gatherings; yoga, meditation, corporate meetings/ sales conferences, academic meetings/ conferences, birthday and anniversary parties. The room can be decorated to fit your event.
The Middlewick Function room can comfortably accommodate 35-45 people for a seated dinner and up to 70 if guests are standing and/ or using the outside decking and grounds.
The room has the benefit of an adjoining serving kitchen. We have a number of chefs who are used to working in our kitchen and can therefore arrange catering for functions as needed.
Pricing, Booking and T&C’s
Our Pricing will depend on the exact accommodation taken, the number of days you will stay and the extent of any additional services and/or catering that you may need.
Getting the dates you need, l especially during the Spring, Summer, Christmas and New Year, means that planning in advance is essential. We often have events booked 12-18 months in advance so get in touch as soon as you think we might be a suitable venue for your event.

Catering For Your Event
Catering can be organised as needed by your group. 3 course meals with service, buffets and snacks, tea, coffee are all options. With our outdoor wood burning pizza oven we can also run a fun pizza night for you as well.
Use of Heated Indoor Swimming Pool & Steam Room
The Swimming Pool is accessed off the main courtyard at Middlewick.
Open from 8am our heated pool is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, either on your own, or with the rest of your group or family. Use of the pool is free for all guests staying at Middlewick Holiday Cottages and Glamping. For safety reasons we do ask that children under 18 are supervised at all times as there is no lifeguard on duty. Closing times for the pool vary depending on the time of year.
A steam room that will accommodate 6 people is accessed via the pool room and again is free to use by those staying at Middlewick.
The swimming pool is heated by our Bio Mass Boilers.
Space for your Tour Bus!
If you are a large group you will have no problems getting your tour bus or cars up to Middlewick. We can accommodate up to 40 cars as well as full size coaches.
If you are driving then we are 20 minutes from the A303, half an hour from the M5 and 45 minutes from the M4.
If you are arriving by aeroplane then Bristol Airport is 30 minutes away.
